Rita GrazianoThis interactive presentation defines Social Intelligence, provides a brief description of Neuroscience research, and describes why it’s important for leaders to adopt socially intelligent behaviors.
Leadership is principally about relationships, and studies are telling us that socially intelligent behaviors are the best predictors of excellence in leadership performance.
What are 5 specific behaviors leaders can adopt now to increase their effectiveness— and what payoff can they expect from doing so?
This presentation answers those questions and also provides some resources for follow-up and further learning.

Background
: Rita is a highly intuitive Executive Coach who practices “unconditional positive regard” when coaching leaders, while directly challenging them to reach for more—in performance excellence, innovation and business results.
Her experience as a director in several high tech firms means she knows the challenges leaders face first hand. She has experienced transformational change within organizations and developed strategies to navigate the white water that results from an intensely competitive global marketplace.
Her coaching provides leaders at all levels these critical deliverables:
a. A mirror to both affirm a leader’s strengths and to challenge shortfalls.
b. Relevant experience and perspective to guide new leaders in unfamiliar terrain.
c. Ideas and strategies for navigating change and managing complexities.
d. A sounding board to allow a leader to articulate and question difficult issues.
e. Personal rapport to ease stress and soothe anxiety.
Rita credits her MA in Counseling from Santa Clara University and her doctorate work at The Fielding Institute among the experiences that allow her to deliver value to the leaders she coaches. Her experience as a T-Group Facilitator for the Stanford Graduate School of Business MBA program (with Dr. Jerry Porras) as well as her success in teaching at the Bachelors and Masters levels, have also prepared her to be an expert Executive Coach.
Additionally her numerous years alliance with Leadership thought leader Dr. Jack Zenger, her work directly with former CEO Andy Grove at Intel, as well as her experience coaching hundreds of leaders throughout the world, have all contributed to her comprehensive approach to leadership development.
