Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)WHAT IS THE LEADERSHIP ESSENTIALS SUMMIT?
The Summit is a set of ten one-hour audioconference sessions scheduled during the same week which are all focused on an important aspect of leadership.  To participate, you dial into the Summit telephone number, plug in your PIN number and are automatically connected to the session.
You will be able to listen to sessions by telephone and to participate in the question and answer period over the phone. You don’t have to travel to the Summit — the Summit is as close as the nearest telephone.
WILL THERE BE A VIDEO OR PC COMPONENT TO THE SUMMIT?
No, all sessions are presented in audio format via the telephone line you dial in on.  Some sessions, though, may have physical handouts which can be downloaded at

To access the Handouts page, you will need the Handouts page password which comes in your registration email.
CAN MORE THAN ONE PERSON LISTEN IN ON THE SAME LINE?
Yes. It’s easiest to do if you use a speakerphone. Each session will be muted so you can hear the speaker clearly.  Muting the line keeps the line quiet and the audio quality high.
When more than one person attends the Summit, the per-person cost becomes extremely low, especially when you take into account that there is no airfare, hotel expense or time lost out of the office.  But, remember that one registration entitles you to dial in on only one telephone line.

At present, all registrations take place online via the Web. We do not have telephone registration at this point.
HOW DO I PAY?
You may pay online using your credit card.  Payment must be made online while registering. We do not take payment by phone.
MAY I BUY JUST THE CDS RATHER THAN REGISTERING FOR THE SESSIONS?
Yes, you can buy a set of the Summit CDs alone without registering for the Summit.  This is ideal if you have a conflict during the scheduled times for the Summit.
Note that you can register for the Summit sessions AND buy a set of the Summit CD recordings at the same time.
WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING AND HANDLING FEES FOR THE SET OF SUMMIT CDS?
Shipping and handling fees are included in the price of the CDs, so there is no separate shipping and handling charge.
IS ANY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT NEEDED?
All you need is a telephone. If you want more than one person to participate from your end, a speakerphone is recommended so everyone can participate in the session.
WHAT PHONE NUMBER SHOULD BE CALLED?
After you register, you will be on our list of participants. At least two business days before the Summit begins, you’ll receive the Summit phone number along with the necessary PIN number required to participate in the call.
The phone number you will be calling is an 800 number so the call should be toll-free to you if you are based in the United States or Canada.
If you are dialing in from outside of the United States or Canada, you will be able to dial in to a US-based non-800 telephone number.  In that case, you are responsible for any charges that are incurred in connecting with this non-800 number.
HOW DOES THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWER SESSION WORK?
At one or more points in a Summit session, registrants will be able to pose questions to the speaker.  The moderator will provide directions on how registrants should indicate their desire to pose a question.
WHY IS THERE AN HOUR OF UNSCHEDULED TIME BETWEEN EACH SESSION?
This is to allow Summit participants to stay involved in their work while participating in the Summit.  During the time in between sessions, you can do work, answer emails, respond to telephone calls, attend meetings and so on, so that you can stay somewhat current with your job responsibilities if you are participating in the Summit while on the job.
Also, if you are using a speakerphone to participate in the Summit as a group, this in-between hour can be used as a valuable time for discussion of the content of the previous session.
HOW CAN I CONVERT THE “EASTERN TIME (USA) TIME ZONE TO MY OWN TIME ZONE?
All of our Summit sessions are listed using Eastern Time (USA). If you’re in a different time zone, you need to convert from Eastern Time to your time.
If you’re in the continental United States, just deduct
one (1) hour if you’re in the Central Time Zone,
two (2) hours if you’re in the Mountain Time Zone, and
three (3) hours if you’re in the Pacific Time Zone.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?
Registrants may cancel at any time before the day on which the Summit begins and will receive a full refund less a $20 processing fee.
There are no refunds for no-shows, i.e., registrants who do not dial in and who do not cancel before the date on which the Summit begins are responsible for the full Summit registration fee.

WHAT IS YOUR GUARANTEE?
We offer a 100% money back guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the Summit and desire a refund, you must contact us using the form which appears at http://leadership-essentials-summit.com/contact-us/ within 72 hours after the end of the Summit.  We will completely refund your registration fee.  Summit Producer will replace any Summit CDs which contain manufacturing defects or are otherwise unusable within the first four weeks after shipment.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND ALL THE SESSIONS?
No, you can attend as many or as few as you’d like.  Your one registration fee covers all of the sessions.  And, in fact, the registration fee is so low that you can actually afford to skip some sessions and not feel guilty.
WILL THERE BE HANDOUTS FOR THE SESSIONS?
There may be handouts for some of the sessions.  Go to http://leadership-essentials-summit.com/handouts/ to see if there are any handouts for a particular session (you’ll need your Handouts page password).  If you are using a speakerphone to allow multiple people to participate, you may want to make multiple copies of handouts for them.
NOTE: the handouts download page is a password-protected page.  You will receive your Handouts page password in your registration confirmation email.
WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY BONUS CDS and DVDS?
Each registrant is entitled to a set of bonus CDs and DVDs.  These will be sent shortly after the end of the Summit and should be received within three weeks after the Summit has ended.  Delivery will be longer for registrants located outside the United States.  CDs and DVDs will be mailed directly from our fulfillment house, Kunaki.
I ALSO ORDERED A SET OF CD RECORDINGS OF THE SUMMIT SESSIONS. WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THEM?
Once the Summit has ended, we gear up to produce and mail the Summit CDs.  We will work to get the CDs out to you as soon as possible, but no later than five weeks after the Summit has ended.  The CD set will be mailed directly from our fulfillment house, Kunaki.
